I use the LAOWA 100mm on my Nikon D300s APS-C body (becomes a 150mm due to the crop factor) and Nikon Z6 full frame mirror less Body. Contrary to what is stated in the description, that the lens contains a chip is not correct. That is only for a certain edition for Canon. The Nikon version uses the mechanical transmission of the aperture position through AI. This only works on a DSLR body and not on the Z series. Thanks to the AI system, the image in the viewfinder is always clear with a DSLR. With the mirrorless Z series, you can immediately see the end result in your viewfinder or on your screen. I see the fact that the lens has manual focus more as an advantage than a disadvantage. For macro photography you have to manually set your focus in most cases, and by means of focus peaking you can easily and relatively quickly focus manually on a Z series body. If you have a DSLR and a Mirror less body, I would always go for the F-mount, then you can use the lens on both bodies.
