According to our gaming headset expert
The 7.1 surround sound lets you hear exactly where your opponents are walking, giving you an advantage.
Enjoy a powerful bass with the 50-millimeter drivers.
Since this headset is wireless, you can enjoy freedom of movement, allowing you to keep the headset on when you grab something to drink during the loading time.
The 7.1 surround sound only works for PC gaming.
With the Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless Gaming Headset SE Espresso, you can game with freedom of movement and an advantage over your opponents. Thanks to the 7.1 surround sound, you can hear your opponents come from every corner. In addition, this headset completes your gaming setup with the RGB lighting. Grenades and other hits sound powerful thanks to the 50mm drivers. And with the closed design of the ear cups, you're not bothered by ambient noises as much and you can hear everything extra well. You can operate the buttons on the ear cup during a game to easily adjust the volume. Are you playing together with friends? You can bend the microphone in front of your mouth to communicate clearly via the microphone with noise reduction.

Setup (4/5): Setting up the Corsair Virtuoso SE was a relatively smooth process. The initial configuration and pairing with my devices were hassle-free. I was optimistic about what this headset had to offer.
Battery Life (3/5): However, my enthusiasm took a hit when it came to battery life. Even without peripherals like the microphone and RGB lighting enabled, the headset's battery life was rather disappointing. For extended gaming sessions, I found myself reaching for the charging cable more frequently than I would have liked.
RGB Customization and Firmware Issues (2/5): One of the standout features of the Virtuoso SE is its RGB lighting. While the RGB lighting is visually impressive, there's a notable drawback: it can only be configured using Corsair's ICUE software. This may not be a problem for most users, but for me, it became a source of frustration. Installing the ICUE software caused the headset's firmware to update, leading to a host of problems.
Audio Issues and Disconnection (2/5): The most significant issue I encountered was the frequent cracking sounds that accompanied the firmware update, along with sudden disconnections of the headset. These disruptions were a major inconvenience during gameplay or while enjoying multimedia content. In the end, I had to resort to using the headset in wired mode to avoid these issues, effectively nullifying its wireless capability.
Customer Support and Manual Troubleshooting (3/5): Frustrated, I reached out to Corsair's customer support. The troubleshooting process they recommended was a lengthy and time-consuming affair, involving a detailed manual process that seemed to yield no improvement in the headset's performance. This was a frustrating experience, leaving me somewhat dissatisfied with the level of customer support provided.

The headphones are very good. Is a bit heavy but once you get used to it, it is no longer noticeable (at least after 1 day I did not notice it anymore). The light on the microphone can be annoying for people who wear glasses, but can be turned off with the program. The microphone is also very sensitive, so that if you are in the same room with someone, the microphone picks up this person quickly. Furthermore, it is a great headset and it is very nice that it is wireless
