The sound of the Sonos is good, but the speaker has so many drawbacks that I decided to sell it. For starters, the controls are clunky. The on/off button protrudes <1mm and only when the speaker is ready for use - white light - a sound can be heard during use. Before that, you have no idea if anything happens when you press the button. Once ready for use, a sound is heard when you briefly press it once and it seems as if the speaker has been turned off, because the light goes out. However, that is not the case, it is then in standby mode. The speaker will only turn off if you keep the button pressed for a few seconds. The battery runs out quickly (5-6 hours). If you forget to turn off the speaker, it will not turn itself off, the battery will then run out. Once the battery is empty, an orange light will flash and the speaker will not respond to anything until it is fully charged again. After connecting to a power outlet, the orange light will glow continuously and then it will take ~1 hour before the speaker has life again. In the meantime you can't use it and because it doesn't respond to anything you have no idea what's going on. The app gives you zero information. I don't find the sonos app user-friendly at all. I bought the Sonos Roam because I had the impression that the size was much more compact than that of my Bose Revolve, and that turns out to be disappointing in practice. The sound is about as good and I find the Bose speaker much more pleasant to use. That the Sonos can be submerged in water and the Bose Revolve not appeals to me, because I never do that :)
