In addition to an Android smartphone, I was looking for a tablet. After many reviews, I went for this entry-level iPad. The main reasons for this were price, storage capacity of 64 gigabytes, speed, App Store offerings and Apple's lengthy update policy. In the Android area, there is no manufacturer that can offer all this for the same price. I use the iPad in combination with the Apple Pencil 1 to take notes for my studies. This tablet is well suited for that purpose. I also looked at an iPad Pro, but it really isn't necessary for taking notes.

Two things really surprised me. The first is the battery life. The iPad lasts a long time on a battery charge, but the standby mode is also very good. In standby mode, the battery percentage hardly drops (sometimes only 1 percent over one night), unlike my Android phone. There, the battery percentage can drop by as much as 7 percent over one night, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off.

The other positive point is the speed. This iPad has the A13 chip which ensures a smooth experience. The software never falters and the tablet feels very fast.
