Really great device

long cord to base station

We have been using the Philips avent Dect baby monitor for two weeks now. I'll be honest I was a bit skeptical at first about a more expensive baby monitor compared to the cheaper plug devices but what a great device this is.

Connecting the base station is a matter of plug and play. It has a long cord that allows it to stand across the room. The dect enter batteries (included) which must then be charged first. After that we can do about 1 day until it is empty (2 naps during the day and one night). Batteries can also be used in the base station, I have not tried this myself and are also not included.

And then all the extra functions such as music, night light and the starry sky. What an invention that starry sky is. This is projected onto the ceiling and quietly changes shape and color. I think I'll use it myself when our kids are older :)

The dect is also the remote control for turning the music, night light and starry sky on and off. In addition, you can set a timer that they go off after, for example, 15 minutes.
