With the Panasonic Lumix S 100mm f/2.8 Macro, you can take impressive macro photos. The lens has a 1.1 magnification. This means that a subject that's 1cm in real life is also 1cm on the sensor. That way, you can portray your subject life-sized. You can focus this lens from a 20cm distance. This allows you to take photos of subjects that are close by and clearly capture details, like the dots on a ladybug. The lens has a silent autofocus motor, so you don't startle your subject. That's useful if you like to take photos of insects or animals. Thanks to the large f/2.8 aperture, you can create a soft background blur in your photos. This also makes the lens suitable for portrait photography.
