The idea of the G1 is good, but in practice it is very disappointing. Your floor must be perfectly flat and smooth, emptying and cleaning the device is (too) much hassle, and the build quality is not what I expect from this expensive device.

This device only works well on perfectly flat floors. On a tiled floor with grout it often leaves puddles of water. If the tiles are not perfectly flat, you will also quickly notice that the device cannot reach the deeper parts of the floor properly due to its large footprint, which means that they are not cleaned.

The separate dirt collection tray seems great, but after a while of use it turns out to be a lot of hassle, the time saved is completely undone. Emptying and filling the water trays is relatively quick, but has to be done too frequently.
