After we moved, it turned out that the old robot wasn't handling the sand we dragged in (new paving and still-broken rubble behind the house). We'd also been wanting a vacuum cleaner that could mop as well as vacuum (and not one of those mop-like things it drags behind it). This vacuum cleaner combined powerful suction and the ability to mop effectively.
We've been using it for almost two weeks now, and we're very pleased with the product. The floor gets much cleaner, and we're no longer tempted to mop the floor again after the robot is finished (our previous robot dragged a mop behind it; that was nice for keeping track of things in a relatively clean house, but in our current house, even the third cloth in a row was still dirty). It does take a while to clean the entire downstairs, but that's not a major drawback for us. We usually turn it on when we're out or going to bed anyway. The fact that it takes him longer could also be because we regularly have him clean his mops at the station; we think that's reflected in how well the floor gets cleaned. After the first few cleanings, the water was really dirty, but that's starting to improve now. It's also nice that the wastewater container is well sealed; when we empty it, it gives off a rather strong odor.
