The lens guards let all light through, so you can record your 360-degree footage without any loss of quality. The camera automatically switches to Lens Guard Mode when you attach the lens guards. The camera removes the edge of the lens guards from the image, so they don't appear in your footage.
Note: The lens guards don't make your lenses waterproof.
