Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between refurbished and second-hand?
A refurbished device has already been used by someone else, so it's a second-hand device. The difference is that you're sure that a refurbished device has been checked on 50 points. If a part doesn't work properly, it gets replaced. So with a refurbished iPhone or iPad, you're sure that you get a 100% functional device.
Why is a refurbished device reliable?
A refurbished device is a used product, but it's different from a secondhand smartphone or tablet. A refurbished iPhone or iPad is guaranteed to be checked completely. A special program makes sure all parts work well. If that's not the case, we replace this part.
How does the price of a refurbished device compare to the price of a new device?
This is different for every device. When you buy an iPhone or iPad that's been sold for a longer time, the difference is often larger than with a newer model. On average, you save 15% compared to the original price.
Which parts are replaced in a refurbished device?
The refurbished device has been checked on 50 points. If this shows that something isn't working properly, the part that causes the problem will be replaced. For example, a refurbished device might receive a new battery, screen, or camera.
What's the condition of a refurbished device?
We sell refurbished devices in 3 conditions, as good as new, lightly used, and visibly used. The condition says something about the traces of use on the exterior of the refurbished iPhone or iPad.
What about software and data on a refurbished device?
Although the iPhone or iPad has been used by someone else before, you won't notice anything. All data has been deleted and the software works the same as with a new one. When you receive your device, you can setup your iPhone or iPad as if it's brand new.
