With the DJI Osmo 360, I create cool videos from different perspectives and angles. For example, I use the 1.2-meter selfie stick to film drone-like shots. When I zoom out, I find it difficult to regain the standard field of view.
High image quality
Thanks to the DJI Osmo 360's dual wide-angle lens, I record 360-degree videos. I capture everything in my surroundings. I rotate the field of view on the screen and see literally everything around me. I also zoom in and out via the screen. When I zoom all the way out and rotate the field of view downward, I create a kind of mini globe. I like this effect. I do find it difficult to return the camera to its normal position afterward. It takes some getting used to. The footage I capture is very detailed. I'm happy with the image quality. Thanks to the 8K resolution, I crop my videos without losing quality. For extensive post-processing, I film in D-Log M 10-bit. This is a file profile where the camera records the colors as washed-out. I adjust this later in the DJI Mimo app. This way, I can determine exactly how I want the colors to appear. My phone struggles a bit with the app. I have an older phone, and it seems like the app is too heavy.
Easy to use
On the screen, I see various icons that I use to configure the camera. Here, for example, I choose the resolution I film in. I also set the Single Lens mode. When I use this mode, the 360-degree camera functions as an action camera, using only one lens. The wide angle of view of the lens gives the videos a kind of fisheye effect. I also choose hyperlapse, timelapse, or a selfie mode.
Extensive Adventure Combo
The Adventure Combo includes a handy selfie stick. Thanks to the special software in the Osmo 360, the selfie stick isn't visible in my recordings. When I fully extend it, it's 1.2 meters long. I hold the camera above me, which makes it feel like I'm recording some kind of drone footage. The selfie stick feels very sturdy, even fully extended. I don't feel like it's bending. The 1/4-inch screw mount also makes the camera compatible with other accessories that use this mount. I also attach it to a Gorillapod, for example.
