Humidifiers. You must really have health problems if you want to start with it if you ask me, because it never really makes me happy. After trying different types, now I bought this one. The Stadler Form Oskar was effective in small spaces, but very fragile, difficult to keep clean and required absurdly expensive filters. The Medisana AH 665 ultrasonic ended up in my garbage container after six months. (very bad, because of course could have gone to the thrift store). That's how frustrated I was apparently. I bought this Venta LW25 mainly because of the easy maintenance and the low noise level when in position. I was positively surprised (after the Stadler form) about the solid (German) manufacture. Unfortunately, the lack of filters comes at the expense of effectiveness. There is no escaping that. Instead, there are rotating plastic discs that provide the required evaporation surface. Position 2 and especially 3 are downright noisy and especially intended if you are not staying in the room. Position 1 is quite quiet, quiet enough for the bedroom as far as I'm concerned and that's what I bought it for. You can still hear him, of course. The specified capacity (40 m2) is at position 1 is never realistic and that is why I went for the LW25 and not the LW15 for my bedroom of approximately 14m2. The riot. humidity in my house these days is 22 to 25% and after blowing for 45 minutes on position 3, only 1% has been added in my 35m2 living room. Not a lot of course, but not very strange of course, because everything is bone dry. It will probably get better in a few days. All in all, I'm just going to make do with it, despite the noise on position 2 and 3 and the lower humidification speed.
I hope this helps others.
Cordial greetings,
Niles
