Een laptop met een 16:10 beeldverhouding heeft meer verticale schermruimte dan een laptop met een 16:9 beeldverhouding. Het scherm is namelijk wat langer. Hierdoor zie je meer informatie tegelijk op het scherm. Zo houd je makkelijk overzicht van je werk, games of foto's en video's. Ondanks het grotere schermformaat is de laptop niet zwaarder of groter. Dat komt doordat de schermranden dunner zijn dan bij laptops met een 16:9 scherm.
