What noise level does your washer dryer combination need?
To determine which noise level is best for your situation, look at the noise level during the spin cycle. A washer dryer combination generally makes much noise. With a washer dryer combination, we always look at the noise level while it's spinning during a wash cycle. That's because this part of the wash cycle produces the most noise. We distinguish noise levels in the following 4 categories:
- Much more silent than average (69dB or less)
- More silent than average (70 or 71dB)
- Average (72 to 74dB)
- Loud (75dB or more)

Much more silent than average: for small spaces
With a 69dB noise level or less, the washer dryer combination is much more silent than average. Keep in mind that the appliance is never truly silent during the spin cycle when it's in a small or open space.
More silent than average: for an open kitchen

You can place this washer dryer combination in an open kitchen or closer to your living room. At this noise level, the noise bothers you less.
Average: for the attic
A washer dryer combination with a normal noise level produces between 72 and 74dB of noise. This means that you'll hear the appliance clearly during the wash cycle. That's why it's smart to place the washing machine further away from your bedroom or living room. It's best to place these washer dryer combinations in a closed kitchen or in the attic, so it doesn't bother you when you're home.
Loud: for in a laundry room or cellar
Washer dryer combinations with a 78dB noise level or more are loud appliances. It's best to place them as far away from your living room or bedroom as possible. For example, are you going to place the appliance in a laundry room, basement, or shed? The noise won't bother you during the wash cycle. If you do place the machine close to your living area, we recommend washing when you're not home.
