New energy labels
Since 1 July 2025, all dryers have a new energy label. Thanks to the new technologies of current dryers, almost all models have an A+++ energy label or more energy-efficient. To make a clearer distinction, the European Union introduced a new energy label with stricter requirements. The labels range from an A energy label to a G energy label. What are the advantages of a heat pump dryer?
Heat pump dryers
Heat pump dryers are the only dryers that are still available. These dryers have advantages for your laundry and your energy bill:
- You can save up to € 113 on your annual energy costs.
- Your laundry remains in good condition for longer thanks to the lower drying temperature.
- With a fast heat pump dryer, you can dry quickly and energy-efficiently.
Condenser dryers
Condenser dryers are no longer available. Still have an old condenser dryer at home? It's worth it to replace it with a new heat pump dryer:
- Condenser dryers dry at a high temperature, so clothes wear and shrink faster.
- Due to the high temperature, condenser dryers consume a lot of energy and you get high energy costs.

Which dryer is the best, depends on your preferences. Want to dry energy-efficiently? Choose a heat pump dryer. With that, you save on your energy costs. Also keep the load capacity in mind. If you have a lot of bedding, choose a large 9kg drum. For less maintenance, choose a dryer with a self-cleaning condenser. This rinses itself automatically while drying. That way, you save energy over the entire lifespan.
What's the difference between a condenser dryer and a heat pump dryer?
The main difference is the energy consumption and the drying temperature. You can save the most on your energy costs with a heat pump dryer with an A energy label. This dries at a lower temperature, which is better for your laundry and energy bill. A condenser dryer dries at a high temperature. This consumes a lot of energy and is bad for your clothes. Nowadays, there are no condenser dryers available anymore.
Do you connect the dryer?
Yes, and we'll even do this for free! Click 'Connect and place in the desired spot' on the product page to add the installation service. If you want, we carry the dryer to the right spot and connect the condensation drain hose to the drain right away. To save space, we place the dryer on your washing machine with a stacking kit. The installation including stacking kit starts at € 85. If you choose the free installation service, we take your old product from its current place. How much energy does a dryer use?
You can find the energy consumption of a dryer on the energy label. This indicates how many kilowatt-hours (kWh) you use based on 160 dryer cycles per year. You can also find its energy label here. Are you looking for an energy-efficient dryer? You save most with an A heat pump dryer. Thanks to the low consumption, you can save up to € 340 over its lifespan on your energy costs compared to a dryer with an E energy label.
Where can I best place my dryer?
Think about where you want to place a dryer. You connect a dryer with a condensation drain hose to the water drain. That's why you should first check if the hose is long enough for the drain. Don't have a drain nearby? You can also empty the condenser reservoir yourself. In that case, you only need a socket. You can put an extra silent dryer with a 62dB noise level or less anywhere. Do you have a loud model of 67dB or more? Don't place it near your living room or bedroom. Make sure to consider the condensation efficiency. With an efficiency of 11% or higher, you should put the dryer in a well-ventilated space. This way, you prevent mold on the walls.
