Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition lets you experience a new Mario adventure. Jump and run through the Flower Kingdom with Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, or another character on your Nintendo Switch 2. This edition also includes Bellabel Park, an extra theme park world with new levels. Prince Florian invited everyone, until Bowser ruins the fun. Now it's up to you to win back his castle before it's too late.
Our first impression
We had the privilege to get started with Super Mario Bros. Wonder before it was released. We played multiple levels, each with surprising elements. Super Mario Bros. Wonder turned out to be a beautiful and joyful game. You can especially enjoy this colorful game on an OLED display. We were very enthusiastic after the gaming session, and we're sure that this is a fantastic new Mario platformer.
Play together with your friends
As you probably expect from a Super Mario Bros. game, you can play it with up to 4 players. While gaming, we noticed a big difference compared to previous Super Mario Bros. games right away. That's because you're no longer in each other's way. You can't accidentally pick up other players anymore, for example. This makes the game less chaotic, which makes it more fun.
Wonder Flowers and power-ups
In Super Mario Bros. Wonder, you explore the Flower Kingdom. This is a completely new kingdom. Each level contains a Wonder Flower. If Mario and his friends activate such a flower, extraordinary things happen. For example, the green pipes start crawling or players turn into Goombas. The Flower Kingdom is also filled with new power-ups, such as an elephant power-up. This allows Mario and his friends to easily destroy blocks and hit their enemy with their trunk.
Special badges
Another addition to Super Mario Bros. Wonder are the badges. With these badges, you can give Mario and his friends special skills. Are you stuck in a difficult underwater level? Use the swimming badge, which allows you to swim faster. Want more of a challenge? Use the badges that make the level harder. Can you make it through the level running the entire time, for example? Use the badges to add an unexpected twist to each level.
