How often should you replace the water filter?

A message appears on the display of your coffee machine when it's time to replace the water filter. That's after about 3 months. The water filter communicates with the coffee machine via Bluetooth. This ensures that the smart water filter works very accurately and prevents 99% of limescale buildup. You can only use the JURA Claris Smart water filter for this.

Step 1. remove the old water filter

1: when it's time to replace the filter, you'll see 'Change the filter' on the display. 2: take the water tank out of the machine and empty it in the sink. 3: twist the used water filter out of the machine. 4: place the new water filter in the machine with the filter attachment. 5: secure the new water filter by turning it to the right.

Step 2: rinse the water filter

1: fill the water tank with water up to 'MAX'. 2: put the water tank back in the machine. 3: you'll see 'Saved' on the display, and then 'Filter is being rinsed'. 4: when it's done, you'll see 'Empty drip tray'. 5: Empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds container and place them back in the machine. 6: the display now shows 'Filter rinsed successfully'. 7: you've successfully replaced the water filter of your JURA S8.
