How does water get under your screen?

Most Garmin watches have an ATM certification, which means they're (splash) waterproof. In the table below, you can see what a certain ATM certification exactly means. But even with waterproof smartwatches, you'll sometimes see moisture under your screen. This is due to extreme temperature changes. It happens when you step into an ice-cold bath after sunbathing in 30 degrees, for example. You can prevent water under your screen by allowing your watch to get used to temperature changes.
