How much energy do you save with a new washing machine and dryer set?
The washing machine and dryer set that you've purchased 5 years ago runs a cycle regularly. Despite the fact that they're still doing this well, it's a good idea to replace them in the near future. Older washing machines and dryers often use a lot more energy than a new set. You'll read how much you can save with a new washing machine and dryer here.

Calculation of savings dryer
A new dryer with A+++ energy label or higher allows you to save a lot on your energy costs. We calculate the costs based on 160 dryer cycles per year. This comes down to about 3 dryer cycles per week. We use € 0.30 per kWh. Let's say you currently dry your laundry with a B energy label dryer. If you choose a new dryer with A+++ energy label, you can save an average of € 115 per year on energy costs. This is € 1150 over an average lifespan of 10 years.

The current washing machines have a renewed energy label that indicates the consumption better. With a new washing machine, you can save a lot per year on your energy costs. The savings are based on 220 cycles per year and an energy price of € 0.30 per kWh. Let's say your current washing machine has an A++ energy label. Compared to a new washing machine with A energy label, you'll save up to € 41.40 per year. You can use this to go out for dinner, for example.
