Disconnect the old dishwasher

Step 1: disconnect the old dishwasher

Before you can start taking out the old dishwasher, you first have to turn off the tap and remove the plug from the socket. After, you detach the supply hose from the faucet and the drain hose from the drain pipe. Is the drain hose connected to the trap of the sink? Take off the hose clamp first. If you can't reach these connectors, you can also take care of this when you remove the dishwasher from the niche.

Remove panel

Step 2: remove the front panel

Remove the front panel from the dishwasher. You can do this by taking out the screws on the inside of the door. Do you want to use the panel for your new dishwasher? Make sure you don't damage the front panel during this step.

Remove baseboard dishwasher

Step 3: remove the baseboard

For this step, you remove the baseboard beneath the dishwasher. The baseboard is secured differently in each kitchen. Usually, the baseboard is clamped onto the legs of the kitchen unit and you can click it off.

Loosen screws

Step 4: loosen the screws

Loosen all of the screws that attach the dishwasher to the countertop or the cupboard next to it.

Step 5: turn the legs downwards

On the bottom of the dishwasher, you can find 3 screws. These allow you to adjust the left, right, and rear leg. Use the middle screw to lower the rear leg.

Slide out dishwasher

Step 6: slide out the old dishwasher

You can now slide the dishwasher out of the niche. Can't get it to move? Check if you've forgotten a screw somewhere. You've now successfully taken out your dishwasher.
