How does a Samsung Odyssey 3D monitor work?
Thanks to the eye tracker in the monitor, 3D glasses aren't necessary anymore for 3D effects. There are 2 small cameras in the screen that follow the movements of your eyes. The images on the screen move when you move your eyes or turn your head. Thanks to this, you can experience 3D effects like you're wearing 3D glasses. Keep in mind that the 3D effects only work with videos, movies, or games that support the technology. You can find all movies and games with 3D display on the Samsung Odyssey 3D Hub. You can also turn off the 3D and use the monitor in 2D.
What do you need?
It's important that you have good hardware when you use the 3D technology. We recommend an NVIDIA RTX 4070 or AMD RX 7900 video card or better. For watching YouTube videos in 3D, you need an NVIDIA video card. You also need the Samsung Odyssey 3D hub, but this is installed by default on the monitor.

The Samsung Odyssey 3D monitor has 4K image quality. Thanks to this, you can game with razor-sharp images and every detail of the virtual world looks realistic. Your images also look sharp when you play games or watch movies with the 3D effects. This monitor also has an IPS panel, so you can enjoy high color contrasts from every viewing angle.

In addition to the 3D technology and the 4K IPS panel, the Odyssey 3D monitor has HDR10 support. Thanks to this, you can enjoy a high color representation and smooth transitions between colors. This is useful when you edit photos, for example. The HDR support doesn't work when you use the 3D effects. You can also game without screen tearing thanks to the 165Hz refresh rate. The monitor is ergonomically adjustable, so you can game with a comfortable sitting posture.
