The different wearing methods
Neckband
Earbuds with a neckband stay firmly in place and you don't lose them easily. The earbuds rest on your ear and are connected via a neckband. When you take out the earbuds, they hang around your neck so you can't lose them easily. Because they stay in place firmly, they're useful for a for an intensive workout. For running, Hyrox, or cycling, for example. The earbuds don't close off your ear canal, so you can still hear what happens around you.
Ear hook
You can use earbuds with an ear hook in your daily life and while exercising. You clamp the ear hook around your ear cup, so the earbud stays firmly in place. Because there's nothing in your ear canal, the earbuds are comfortable and you can hear what's happening around you for a long time. That's useful if you want to hear announcements on public transport or if you run in a busy city. These earbuds are less useful if you wear glasses.
Ear clip
You can comfortably wear earbuds with an ear hook the entire they and they're suitable for people with glasses. You clamp the earbud on the side of your ear cup and they're not in your ear canal. That way, you barely feel them and you can wear them for a long time. Ear hook earbuds look like an ear cuff, so they look like jewelry. You can also use them when you exercise, because they stay firmly in place.
