According to our hedge trimmer expert
Thanks to the electric propulsion, you can enjoy a continuous power supply.
With a weight of 3.5 kilograms, this hedge trimmer is on the heavy side.
The Bosch AHS 50-26 is an easy-to-handle hedge trimmer that can be used for various hedge types. You can get to work with the 50-centimeter bar, which is equipped with diamond-cut laser-cut blades and a 600-Watt electric motor. You can trim branches up to 26 millimeters thick, thanks to the greater blade distance and the saw function that makes the blades vibrate if the branch is too thick. The blade protector ensures that you can safely trim along walls or across the ground. Finally, the ergonomic handle ensures that you can trim your hedges with minimal taxation on your body when using the AHS 60-26.
We bought this hedge trimmer to trim the spruce trees around the house. Compared on various review sites, and this product came out very good. The competitive price in combination with good pruning performance was the deciding factor.
And the cutting performance is indeed perfect: the razor-sharp sword cuts effortlessly through the branches, better than any previous device. Of course, it remains to be seen how the durability is of this device, since 2 days is only a very short time.
The biggest downside, however, is the design. The three large knobs on the handle can be dangerous. When you take the hedge trimmer up a ladder, it's far too easy to push both buttons at the same time, which made it a bit of a shock at times. So you have to pay attention!

It's green and it works 'cool'. The 3.5 kg Bosch AHS 50-26 hedge trimmer does what the brochure promises. He went quietly and effortlessly through the more than 3 cm thick branch. The cutting transitions smoothly into the sawing function and within a fraction of a second the sawn-off whopper of a branch is on the ground at your feet. Within a short time the messy hedge was a neat, tight boundary that the neighbors looked at with a crooked eye.
