My previous (manual) Hozelock lasted about 15 years, but then the mechanism for distributing the hose on the wheel stopped working, making it impossible to reel the hose in properly. After some hesitation (due to the price), I decided to purchase this auto-reel anyway. This one also has a support bar, which the manual one doesn't. Winding it up was also becoming a bit too heavy for me. I hope this mechanism keeps working and that I can use it for many more years. It looks nice, and I think a closed cabinet looks less cluttered. Wall mounting isn't an option for me, and I need a long hose, so this was really the only option.

Keep in mind that you still have to assemble a few things; that takes about 30-45 minutes. The instructions are clear, so nothing can go wrong.

However, I do think the back panel doesn't fit together perfectly. Hopefully, this won't cause any problems.
