After a long search, reading and looking at reviews, this tripod was chosen. The weight, the min and maximum size and the possibility to convert it into a monopod. Also included are spikes for soft surfaces and a nice bag to store and transport it (with shoulder strap). The quality of the tripod head is very good in this price category and can be replaced if, for example, you want to use a video ball head in the future.

Fully extended it is big enough to get my camera up to eye level (I am 1.80m). In addition, the center column can be turned around to hang your camera upside down to just above the ground for macro photography. Without extra parts, it can be converted into a monopod, very useful in situations where a tripod is not allowed or useful (Museums, churches, zoo etc) but where you need slower shutter speeds to prevent blurred photos in low light and/or zooming in. . You can make the tripod heavier by hanging a bag or the like under the center column on the built-in hook.

I have had this tripod for about 3 weeks now and have used it a number of times. It struck me that it requires some skill to work well with the 'handles'. This is of course not a problem, but above all a matter of practice. A downside is that the quick-release plate comes off your DSLR a little too easily. I felt like I was turning the ball head when in reality it was my camera turning on the quick release plate. So tightening DSLR very well (with coin) on the picture is the message. I had already read about this minus in a previous review.

Setting up the tripod may take a little longer by tightening the extendable legs, but this is not an issue for me at all. Here too the following applies: Practice makes perfect.

So overall this is a good tripod and I am happy with my purchase. That this tripod comes with a carrying bag and is offered in different colors are extras that charm me.
