Took a week to Italy for vacation and took a lot of pictures. The colors come out very well and of course nicely sharp. The zoom range, including a handy wide angle (16-300) is very good. You only need 1 lens. The wide angle is also fine, no weird distortions or anything like that. The only drawback we find is the placement of the zoom ring. It is far in the front and if you put a lens hood backwards (because you don't use it, for example) then it gets in the way.
