Now more than two weeks ago I decided to get rid of my Sennheiser's (CX-400 II Precision). Although I was very satisfied with my previous set, I now chose the slightly more expensive Sony's, as these were remarkably well reviewed.

After receiving it, I was positively surprised about the design and build quality of the set, especially in comparison with my previous (plastic) Sennheiser's. The braided wiring gives the cord a 'cable look' and the gold-coloured housing and details provide a luxurious look.

My experience with previous Sony-in ears is that the caps protrude far from the ear, which I don't like. Fortunately, these are not bothered by this and are not very noticeable when they are in the ear. The silicone caps also have a good fit and do not get bored easily.

I saved the most important thing about these earplugs for last. Because unlike some headphones, you don't wear in-ear earplugs as a fashion accessory. Fortunately, the sound quality is all right and my previous set is clearly surpassed. In reviews I read that the bass would be quite present, but high sounds and the midrange sound fuller than with the Sennheiser's.

If there is one thing that I have to criticize, it is that the bend where the jack plug is connected feels a bit vulnerable. But this probably just takes some getting used to...
