According to our camera lens expert
The lens hood is retractable; useful for transport.
The large aperture of f/2.8 ensures that your subject stands out from the background.
The lens is dust and splash proof.
The lens doesn't feature a focus limiter.
Due to the lens size and weight, it can be difficult to take handheld pictures.
The 40-150mm f/2.8 is the second lens in the Olympus PRO line. The zoom lens has a large maximum aperture of f/2.8 over the entire range. The lens comes with a lens hood that is retractable. That way, you don't have to remove the lens hood, and it stays compact during transport. The lens is resistant to dust and splashing water and can withstand a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius.
Robust professional lens, fits well in the hand and can be operated ergonomically. Speed of AF, great light sensitivity and limited dimensions were the deciding factors. Despite the price, a good investment in pure enjoyment of use! 100% satisfied !

Writing a lengthy review of this lens is pointless, this is by far the best lens Olympus has ever produced! I couldn't find a bad word in online reviews. If you are serious about photography then this is a must have piece of glass!

In the meantime, I had the opportunity to extensively test this lens during my summer vacation and I have to say "I am blown away" from the sharpness of the photos this lens produces. I use the lens in combination with a Panasonic Lumix GX80 and although I am very satisfied with the performance, I would like to add that it is a relatively heavy lens for an M43 combination. Especially in combination with a smaller GX80 camera, I recommend equipping the camera with an extra grip for better grip and stability.
In any case, the lens is an absolute must, but you have to take into account that it will be a solid and weighty combination. If you want to go for a slightly lighter combination, then I think the Panasonic 35-100 mm/2.8 lens is a more optimal choice, but then of course you have slightly fewer zoom options.
