According to our cartridge expert
The cartridge communicates its ink level to the printer, so you can order new cartridges in time.
This own brand T1291 Black for Epson printers (C13T12914011) is an ink cartridge suitable for the following Epson printers.
Bought to replace the original Epson cartridge. A lot cheaper, basically the same experience. It neatly states on the cartridge that it is not from Epson, but does work with Epson. Does exactly what it's supposed to do.
