With the StarTech A/V Travel Adapter Mini DP to HDMI or VGA, you can connect your Ultrabook or Macbook to all HDMI and VGA monitors or projectors. That way, you can also work with a second screen if your monitor and laptop don't have an HDMI connector.
The VGA and HDMI outputs work great!, and if you want DVI if necessary, an HDMI to DVI adapter is a perfect combo.
The adapter itself is very compact, and operation is simple, all plug and play.
This adapter makes it possible to use 1 extra display on your laptop/computer, so it can't use both ports at the same time as an extension.
Doesn't feel cheap, but solid and solid.

The product is beautifully designed and really fits the design of the MacBook. In addition, it is very handy that the 2 connections (HDMI, VGA) are next to each other. This way you always have the right connection
