Clone function not working properly

I bought this product together with a Samsung 500Gb SSD to be able to easily clone the 256Gb SSD of my laptop without a PC. The Source Disk had 3 partitions. 2 partitions were created on the target disk, the 3rd (recovery) was not created. The 2nd partition was also created, but was empty and in RAW format. Since this was the windows partition it didn't work. The Sharkoon XT duoclone can only be used as a Sata -> USB converter for me and then it is quite expensive (apart from the fact that I already have 2 of them :-))
