According to our smart light expert
You can mount the light strip anywhere thanks to the adhesive strip.
Synchronize the Hue Lightstrip with your favorite music for a colorful light show.
You can easily cut the light strip to size.
To operate the light strip, you'll need a Philips Hue bridge. Use the bridge from your Philips Hue starter package or purchase a separate Philips Hue bridge.
The Philips Hue Lightstrip 2 Meters offers flexible lighting in 16 million colors and all shades of white. You control the light via your Android or iOS device. You will have to connect the Philips bridge and download the Philips Hue app first. If necessary, you can cut the strip to size and then attach it wherever you want thanks to the convenient adhesive strip. The high light output makes the Hue Lightstrip 2 Meters suitable for both decorative and functional purposes. Use it as mood lighting underneath the bar in your kitchen, for example. If you synchronize the strip with your TV, it can also enhance your viewing experience. This light strip can be extended to up to 10 meters with 1-meter extensions.
Note: after cutting the light strip, it can no longer be extended.
Philips Hue lights are compatible with various smart home platforms, such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, IFTTT, and Apple HomeKit.

Most of the pros and cons have already been listed so I won't do that again. It's a very nice product, period. But I would like to point out to those interested that you can't just cut the strip wherever you want. The cut-off points are nicely marked on the strip, but of course they do not always come out nicely on the surface where you want to apply them. For example, I made the mistake of cutting a few mm further than indicated with the result that the last part of the extension that I bought today no longer produces white LEDs. All in all it's not too bad because it does all other colors nicely and I'm only talking about 20, 30 cm, but still... I would buy it again in a heartbeat, but a warned man is worth two!

Great for turning it on and off with a remote on your phone

Improvement compared to the previous light strip: better colours, better dimming, much more light output. This light strip gives a very nice effect under a TV cabinet or kitchen cabinet. The disadvantage is that the adapter still has to be hidden somewhere out of sight. And once you have shortened it, you can never extend it again and you can no longer reuse the cut part.
