According to our headphones expert
You'll have extra freedom of movement during your listening sessions with the Sennheiser HD 4.40 BT. Connect these headphones via Bluetooth to a smartphone, tablet, or laptop and listen wirelessly to music. This means cables won't get in the way. Thanks to the Bluetooth profile aptX, you can stream high-quality audio. Does your smartphone have the NFC function? Hold the device against the NFC point of the headphones to create a direct connection. This way, you won't need to first look for your headphones in a list of Bluetooth devices. Use the buttons on the ear cup to select a song or answer a phone call.

Bought it for work. Wonderful sound. Move freely by bluetooth. Good range. Can also be worn for longer periods. Still need to stretch and get used to heat. I haven't had it long enough to know if it will sit even better. For the info, I have a motorcycle helmet size XL-XXL and I weigh 126 kilos. So it fits, but becomes even more comfortable when you sit underneath :)

The headphones are well built and the sound quality is very good in my opinion, even at high volumes. The bass is there, but not overdone and it doesn't suppress the rest. The sounds are nicely balanced and it stays that way at high volumes. If you're a real basshead I wouldn't recommend this model because it's not that the basses blow your ears out so to speak. This model also surprised me with the good sound insulation (passive then). So it can be used in public spaces without bothering other people.
Below you will find my extensive experience with these headphones:
The first thing you notice about these headphones is that they are completely made of plastic. The connections between the earcups and the headband are also made of plastic. So you could ask yourself whether it is sturdy enough. At first glance it is. The plastic does of course have the advantage that it weighs less. In terms of mobility, the earcups are okay and comfortable to wear around the neck.
I personally like the design. Clean, subtle branding, a nice finish on the plastic so it doesn't necessarily look cheap.
The controls on the right don't feel natural because the buttons are a bit on the small side. But I do think in the long run you get used to it and automatically fumble for the right button.
The bluetooth connection is made quickly and stable on both an Android device and a Windows 10 laptop. The range also seems to be good. I tested them at about 15m indoors before they started to stutter.
In terms of accessories it is ok. It comes with a long micro USB cable, which always comes in handy, and a cable for wired listening. They should have made that last cable a bit thicker. Then there is a pocket where the headphones can be folded. You shouldn't think too much about that. The headphones are protected against scratches and dust, but the bag does not protect against physical damage if you drop them, for example.
In my case, the wearing comfort is perfect. They fit well around the ears, they don't weigh much, soft earpads, etc... So I can wear them for hours on end without getting bothered. But you should pay attention if you are a person with bigger ears. The openings are fairly narrow, so it may be a half-over-ear, half-on-ear case which is not comfortable.
And then you have sound. This is a very subjective category that you can only judge with your own ears, but here's my experience.
The bass is well present, but not exaggerated and without suppressing the mids/highs. The vocals come through clean and well. The treble could be a little louder in my opinion, but that is easily solved with an equalizer. You can distinguish the instruments from each other and I now extract details from the music that I had never heard before. So in general the sound is very good. The headphones are also performant. Even at high volumes and with a bass boost, the basses still come out flawless without suppressing the rest. There is little leakage sound and the passive noise canceling is better than expected. This is of course provided that your ear fits in the shell ;).

Don't be fooled by the images, I thought these headphones looked rather large and bulky, but they aren't at all. Sound is very good, operation is easy and responsive, a very nice headset for this price.
