According to our voice recorder expert
Thanks to the noise suppression, you can make clear recordings without ambient noise.
You can work out your recordings using the included voice recognition software.
The speech recognition software only works with Windows and not with Mac OS.
You cannot expand the storage space with a memory card.
With the Olympus VN-541 PC you can make clear sound recordings anytime and anywhere. This voice recorder has noise reduction. As a result, your recording is not affected by disturbing ambient sounds, such as wind. This is useful if you often go outside to make recordings. Thanks to the included DNS software you can quickly work out any audio file. This automatically converts recorded words into text. With 1 movement you activate the voice recorder and start recording. You just have to slide the recording switch forward. The recorder has an internal memory of 4 GB. That is equivalent to about 2080 hours of noise.
The device has 4 shooting modes, 3 of which work really well! The device immediately records with the slide button and when sliding back it immediately saves everything. Had no problems with it. However, the speech recognition (DNS 12 recorder edition) only works on Windows 7 and with Word 2010 and is not a full edition and therefore had no added value for me. That is why this Olympus with speech recognition is relatively expensive compared to a version without speech recognition (DNS 12).

Despite my brief experience, only used 2 times so far, I could recommend it to everyone, the price quality is excellent, everyone is happy with that.
