According to our television expert
Thanks to the OLED screen, you'll see an image with a high contrast ratio and true to life colors.
UHD Premium offers improved brightness and a wider color range than standard UHD.
Due to the 100Hz refresh rate, fast-moving images are displayed smoothly.
The TV doesn't have a rotatable stand to turn it toward your viewing position.
Experience movie scenes the way the director would've wanted it with the LG OLED55C7V. Thanks to the OLED screen, you'll get an image with a high contrast ratio, meaning that black looks truly black. Your viewing experience will become even more intense because you discover every little detail. Both in the darkest shadow and in the brightest sunshine. The Active HDR technology adds clear and sharp images with accurate colors. This makes it feel like you're watching a soccer match live. The improved webOS 3.5 Launcher Bar offers you endless premium content. Think of funny YouTube videos, or a enthralling movie on Netflix.
In the search for a new TV, the choice was made quickly; it would be an OLED. There is nothing that can match the image quality and regarding future-proofing opted for a UHD TV. Took a while to decide between the LG and the Sony. Sony does not make its own OLEd panels, but uses LG panels in their TVs. Sony advertises the sound system that is (partly) integrated into the screen (acoustic surface), the image processor and that it is an Android TV. I chose the LG because;
Sound For me, the sound is about my Sonos set. I don't know about the sound of the TV itself. I've read that with the Sony you have to sit right in front of it, something that won't always be the case.
Aesthetic The TV hangs on the wall with a swivel bracket (vogel's thin 545). When you remove the base from the TV, all that remains is a thin bezel screen. Seen from the side, the top half of the TV is wafer-thin (±5mm), which seems really tight. The Sony has a THICK non-removable TV stand that runs the full height of the TV. As a result, the Sony cannot be hung as tightly against the wall as the LG and the TV stand (with built-in sub-woofer and cable routing) always remains visible;
Image Quality A large proportion of users will watch TV via the provider's decoder (external box). Because the image processing takes place in this box and the TV is used as a monitor, it does not matter what kind of image processor is in the TV. Apart from the technique; the image quality of the LG is excellent, this is confirmed by the consumer association, among others.
In addition, the Sony has a very mediocre processor (SOC), I really see this as a very big disadvantage in connection with the performance. user experience and future-proofing. This nullifies several advantages of the Android TV.
The LG is also hundreds of euros cheaper. If you buy a Chromecast for a few bucks, you don't have to miss the Android TV experience.
In use, the TV is excellent, I still get a WOW experience every time. The contrast is amazing, the colors really pop! The image is calm for the eyes and clear/bright enough in sunlight. Congratulations to LG!, with so much thought that the TV was designed it must have been a difficult choice not to put the brand name on it. The Magic Remote also works very nicely.

WOW OLED what a picture the colors are splashing. When I look at an LED TV again, it's just really disappointing.
It really looks great on this TV, the OLED screen has everything so nice again. You will experience the entire film a lot more intensely, especially when gaming! The sound is quite good for built-in TV speakers, a soundbar or surround set would complete it.
Furthermore, the TV works easily and you can easily find your way around the TV. Especially the remotes that you can point to instead of clicking through an entire menu is ideal.

This beautiful TV is the replacement for my 40" LCD TV hanging in the living room. The biggest difference is the image quality and the really deep black. Black is just black. Not a grayish black but real black. I hung up the TV myself and The ultra-thin bezel around the TV makes it very pleasant to watch TV.
Taking the TV out of the box and hanging or putting it down is something you really have to do in pairs.
After the TV is up, connecting is very easy. (if the TV comes flat against the wall, connecting cables in advance is handy). A minus point is the large plug, which is not interchangeable and is unnecessary because there is no earth on it. So you need space in the distribution block or wall socket.
Once the TV is on and you can enjoy the beautiful image. I personally recommend that you go to a website that can give you a direction on how to adjust your image settings. This is because the default settings are quite bright and do not look natural.
I personally do not find the sound of the TV disappointing at all as I have read in other reviews. The sound is clearly not distorted and is quite "punchy". But during a movie or series, a cable goes to my HiFi set-up via the optical sound output.
The remote control with pointer works pleasantly and quickly.
In total, highly recommended!
