I've had the Ring Doorbell 2 on my door for about two months now. What an invention!

Do you expect a package but not at home? Pick up the bell and pass on a message to the delivery person. On an upper floor and still have a quick look who is at the door before you walk down? The Ring is waiting for you!

After some problems with the installation (it was not entirely clear to me how to connect the bell to the old bell, and which transformers/chimes are compatible with this) and reliability of the ringing on the phone, I contacted Ring customer service called. It turned out that the firmware was not up to date; if you have problems with the signal or reliability, check whether the Ring is completely updated and otherwise call customer service, they can watch remotely and can help very well. I don't know if it's still the case, but the customer service is English.

After the firmware update, everything is fixed and the app on iPhone always gives a notification within 2 seconds.

By default, you can't review the saved images, but with Ring Protect, the images are stored directly in the cloud; this costs €3 per camera. If you compare this with competitors, this is actually a good amount.
