According to our Cooktop expert
The AEG IKB64411FB is an induction cooktop that's suitable for large or elongated pans. You can use the expandable zone for roasting pans or a fish pan. The cooktop has 14 settings, so you can choose the settings for each cooking zone accurately. If you need some extra power, use the boost function. You can then bring a pan of water to a boil 50% faster. Use the timer, so you know exactly how long your pasta is cooking. This way, you can focus on your sauce. Isn't everyone home yet? Use the keep-warm function to keep your dishes warm until everyone is at the table.

Good product for a reasonable price: slightly better quality than alternatives from cheap brands
I bought this plate to replace the old AEG induction plate that broke down after 15 years.
The packaging of the plate there was minimal. Two pieces of Styrofoam and a cardboard flap. I was a little concerned when the postman smashed the package in front of the door, but luckily it turned out to be unnecessary.
The induction plate has a sleek design and looks good. At the top right there is room for an elongated or larger pan. The operation is simple and convenient. The zones heat up super fast and also cool down quickly. The timer function is handy and the childproofing is top notch, especially if you have pets (cats) that are just as badly raised as ours. Value for money is excellent and I am happy with the purchase.
Maaaarrrr .... you have to be a bit handy to be able to connect the plate. This is in fact supplied with a mounted 4-wire cable, which you then have to connect to your perilex plug. However... a perilex needs 5 wires. You can therefore not use the supplied cable if you want to connect the plate safely according to Dutch guidelines. So always order a 5-wire cable with plug (or use the one from your old record). You must first disassemble the mounted 4-wire cable. For this you need a T15 torx screwdriver. Make sure you already have it at home or order it if necessary, because it won't make you happy if you first have to visit 6 stores in the pouring rain before you can find such a bitch, I know from experience ;-). Then you mount the 5-wire cable to the plate. Just pay attention that you mount the 2 phases, the 2 zeros and the earth in the right place according to the diagram on the sticker (bottom of the plate). It is advised everywhere that you should hire an electrician for this. That might be wise, especially if you really don't know what you're doing. But with a little googling and logical thinking you really come a long way. I personally fall into the “I've never done it, so I think I can do it” category, and it turned out to be so. And I'm really a layman in this area. An electrician friend checked my amateur work and it turned out to be all good. Often you are too scared!

Have been using the induction plate for a week now. After 27 years of cooking on a gas stove, now switch to cooking on an induction plate. That took some figuring out and especially the right heat settings. After a week we sort of figured that out. You cannot consult the supplied manual for this. The cooking is very fast.
When installing, pay attention to the dimension drawing, because there is an error in it. The dimensions of the plate are Wide: 590 mm and Deep: 520 mm. You should not cut a hole with a depth of 600 mm, because then the plate will fall through. The width of 560 is good.
What I do like is the electrical connection. In the Netherlands a cooking group 2x 230V is allowed, in the rest of the EU it is not. Because I have a cooking group 2x 230VAC in the meter cupboard, I started selecting an induction plate on connection 2x 230VAC. That's how I ended up with this record. I also looked at this plate in a Coolblue store and asked again whether it was suitable for a cooking group 2x 230VAC. Answer: YES. After the plate was delivered, I soon found out that a 4-wire cable was connected. For a connection 2x 230V (2x Phase + 2x Zero + PE) I still end up with 5 wires. I looked in the box, but the 5th wire wasn't there either. Consulted the manual, but it only has a connection diagram for 1x 230VAC (F+N+PE) or 3 phase 400V (3x Phase + PE), but no connection diagram for 2x 230VAC (2xF + 2xN+ PE). And there you are and you are somewhat irritated, partly because a cooking group connection must be possible and additional costs are added. Then a 5-wire Neoprene cable bought at the hardware store (is not a cheap cable! ) and with the help of Google connected in the right way, plug in the perilex WCD and luckily the induction plate worked in 1x. Dear AEG/Coolbleu, the following: Here in the Netherlands, this device either delivers without a cable or delivers this device with the correct cable!! With a 5-wire cable connected you can connect the induction plate to 1x 230VAC, 3 Phases 400V and 2x 230VAC. I can replace and reconnect the cable, but many cannot. A point of attention.
The manual is only for safety warnings, connecting the plate and a brief overview of the operation, but it is not of much use.
After a week of cooking I have to say that it is a great hob. Beautiful design, neat finish with bevelled edges and ease of use. The temperature is easy to set with sliders (sliders) and the pan recognition ensures that the cooking zone turns on when a pan is on it and warns and goes off when there is no pan on it.
If you are looking for an alternative to a gas stove, this is a great choice!

Excellent hob, neat finish with bevelled edges and easy level adjustment with slider without button to first select the cooking zone. Also automatic recognition of the pan size.
