"Overall great"

By Shaakunthala on 8 March 2019

  • Pros:
Softkeys are part of UI instead of dedicated button/ area, so I can confidently hold the device on its bezels without accidentally tapping on the back button.
  • Pros:
App power monitor to save power
  • Pros:
Secure storage with external SD card encryption
  • Pros:
Easy to organize home screen compared to Xiaomi and Huawei
  • Pros:
Double tap screen to wake up
  • Con:
Samsung bloatware - Samsung Keyboard doesn't have an incognito mode (Google's keyboard has but it wasn't installed)
  • Con:
Samsung bloatware - Bixby home won't work with Google Keep and Google Calendar
  • Con:
Microsoft bloatware - unable to remove Skype which is not an integral part of the OS

Overall great experience, but in the beginning it was bit of a hassle to set up because some of the essential Google apps were missing (Keep, Contacts, Docs, Sheets, etc). The audio is great. Although I recommend a wireless headset, it is handy that device already has a 3.5 mm jack.
