Not sure whether you want the Bose QuietComfort 35 II or the Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700? Read our comparison here.

The Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700 are the thing for you if you value high sound quality and powerful noise canceling. Thanks to active noise canceling, these wireless headphones muffle ambient noise, which means you can listen to your favorite music without disturbances, no matter where you are. You can adjust the noise canceling to suit your needs, thanks to the 11 levels. That means you can switch to your preferred setting for each environment or situation, or deactivate noise canceling completely. Thanks to the 4 microphones, you're clearly audible. When you're making a phone call, they'll muffle ambient noise, such as white noise. The microphones also make sure you can hear your surroundings with a push of the button. You can decide whether to control the headphones with touch controls on the ear cups or with voice commands. If you choose voice commands, you use Google Assistant.

"Wonderful product, a worthy successor to the QC35."

  • Pros:
    Comfort is amazing (=QC35)
  • Pros:
    Design is amazing and sleek
  • Pros:
Sound is exactly what you expect from bose, crisper than qc35 but still flat, equalizer solves it.
  • Con:
Need some time to break in for maximum comfort (I just put them over the box for 24h)

A short review and comparison with QC35s by Bose (XM3s did not cut it for me because no multi-point connection)

Controls are not at all an issue, very intuitive once you use it for a few hours.

Comfort was a big concern for me. I read reviews that it is not on par with QC35s. It is near-identical to QC35s once you wear the headphones in a bit. I personally put mine around the box they came it and overnight the comfort was vastly improved (clamping force reduces greatly, tip from reddit).

Mics are amazing, they work brilliantly in any situation. Biking, walking, in a crowded or quiet environment, they pick up your voice very well and are in another league compared to the QC35. Noise cancelling though is near-identical to QC35s, I'd say the 700s are maybe 10% better.

Sound is similar, although the NC700s do have a noticeably crisper sound to them when compared to the QC35. Both headphones sound flat, but an equalizer solves that wonderfully, and this is where you can really see a big difference between the two. I use Dolby Atmos.

Finally, the design is much better compared to the QC35. I'm by no means someone who cares too much about that, but hold both of the headphones in hand and there's no comparison. All my devices use usb-C and I appreciated the addition. I tried to take the QC35s, I really did. I wanted those extra $100. I wanted to dislike it because I've seen all the reviews. But for the difference, the 700s are just a better headphone.

I should mention, if you have the QC35s, upgrading is not worth it if you're tight on cash. You get slightly better NC, call quality, audio quality, and design. Otherwise, the 700s are an absolute go for me, and I am very happy with the purchase.

Wonderful product, a worthy successor to the QC35.
