According to our television expert
With the Hisense 65U8QF, you enjoy sharp images with a realistic color representation. Thanks to the Quantum Dot technology, the television produces the exact colors necessary. This way, you can watch images with bright and pure colors. This television has a refresh rate of 100Hz, so fast movements are displayed smoothly. That means you won't miss a single moment of a goal in an exciting soccer match. Thanks to the 10-bit panel and the HDR support, you enjoy images with a high contrast and wide color gamut. For example, you'll also see the subtle color details in things like a cloud field or a blue sky.

I was looking for a TV for an Xbox Series X game corner in the attic. Because it was a second XSX I had set myself a certain budget and I went looking for the most 'bang for your buck'. After a long search and comparison, I came across the Hisense televisions, which were very interesting in terms of price and specifications. But then, a (to me) unknown Chinese brand, what could that be? In the end I took the gamble and I am pleasantly surprised. My frame of reference is a Samsung 55KS7000 that is almost 4 years old and this TV is barely or not inferior to that, while the Samsung was almost 3 times as expensive at the time.
After installation, I extensively tested the image quality: no dead pixels or other strange image deviations. After setting the image (almost all 'image enhancers' off) and a simple calibration, the colors are clear, black is really black and white is very white. 4K videos from YouTube jump off the screen and the (Dolby Atmos) sound is not disappointing either. So far, so good!
Time to plug in the Xbox. To my surprise, it indicated that the TV does not support HDR10. Panic, because that's exactly what it was bought for. Because HDR does work with YouTube, it had to be a setting, and yes: The HDMI inputs must be set to 'Enhanced / Improved'. After doing that, all check marks (except the 120Hz, which this TV obviously doesn't support) jumped to green in the XSX test. Game time!
Would I have bought it too if it had been my primary TV? No, I would have had very different requirements, but for my intended use and budget this is the best TV I could have bought!

I had been looking for a full Array 4k TV for some time to replace our Philips. The Sony xh90 was my first choice for a long time, until a more affordable option came out with the hisense u8 and u7 series. My preference went to the u8q because of the 100hz image refresh and more fald zones. The JBL soundbar on the u8 was unnecessary for me since we have a surround system. But after reading reviews on avforum and because the u8 is only available from 55'', our choice went to the u7 in 50''. He simply got a better score. Hang up, enter WiFi, set up Netflix ultra HD account, set the image to cinema and go: what an incredibly detailed, smooth and remarkably quiet image, straight out of the box. On Netflix, the TV itself appeared to detect that there was a 4k input, and the image setting automatically went to Dolby vision Mode. White credits on a black screen indicate the intrinsic quality of this device par excellence: no halo to be seen. Just like the TV is in showroom mode. The TV could simply be mounted on the wall with the previous mounting (Vesa) and weighs just less than our 37'' Philips. For some, looks are also important: here is a wafer-thin black bezel around the screen with a brushed facet edge at the bottom: classy. The sound is really good. Very clear conversations, just pay attention if you want to turn up the volume because this thing goes to max in 2sec! To use the smart platform better than Netflix and YouTube, a vidaa login is required, which I am not going to create at the moment. In that regard, I can't fully review, but the platform responds extremely quickly (also thanks to the 5ghz WiFi connection via our unify's from Coolblue

After watching several TVs, this Hisense caught my eye. I was already familiar with the brand because we have a fridge/freezer combination. After reading several reviews and watching countless YouTube reviews, I ordered this TV. After Coolblue has delivered it neatly at the agreed time, you can easily put the TV down. I use a media box next from Ziggo so it was an HDMI cable in it and we have a picture. We are 4 meters from the screen, so we opted for a 65 inch. Perfect size. We are very satisfied with both the image quality and the sound.
