Nice picture but with limited viewing angle

The TV has a very limited viewing angle. This only became apparent after assembly and commissioning. Already at 30gr viewing angle, the image starts to fade out white.

Happy with the TV in itself, but adjusting the desired image quality took some hours. The image settings can be tinkered with in many ways that it is difficult to find the right one. Also, the viewing angle is very disappointing to me. The TV is really only suitable for sitting right in front of it. Already at a viewing angle from 30 degrees, the colors start to fade to white. And I miss a button on the TV AB to switch the decoder on and off. As soon as you switch on the TV, a pop-up menu will appear asking whether the set-top box should also be switched on, but I have not yet found a solution for switching off without the AB of the decoder. By the way, I let the TV sound run through a Sonos Amp to the B&W home cinema set, so I only heard the sound from the TV itself during the installation, but it didn't sound wrong in itself.

Unpacking and installing went very smoothly. In 7 minutes the TV was showing off on the supplied stand.

The image quality can be called sublime to say the least. A world of difference compared to my 7 year old flat screen. The only point is the blacklight bleeding. When it is pitch dark in the room and I watch a film with a black border at the top and bottom (not a full screen film) I notice that the border at the top does not remain 100% black depending on what happens on the screen left and right (marked star wars, rambo and airforce one to name a few movies). This - point is not noticeable during the day or with decent lighting in the room.

There were some issues getting my LG soundbar to work with this TV. This was due to the optical cable that made a bad contact. After replacing it all ok. Once you have a soundbar in use, it is difficult to get used to the sound through the speakers of the TV itself, although the sound through the TV speakers was better than expected.

The magic remote is a nice thing and takes some getting used to. The unfortunate thing is that my media player cannot be operated with the cabinet closed, which is possible with the remote control of the media player itself. Probably because the magic remote uses infrared instead of another way. Pairing devices is child's play (although I had to redo it 3 times to get everything working correctly).

All in all satisfied with the purchase and the blacklight bleeding..... You can live with that and I suspect with some tinkering with the settings (brightness and the like) you can get that away.
