You can set a timer for the mixing time, so the mixer gets started automatically. The mixer makes planetary rotations. This means that it rotates to the right when mixing, and the wide attachments rotate to the left. This way, it reaches the entire bowl for the best result. You can mix large amounts in the large 4.7L glass mixing bowl or smaller amounts in the second 3.8L bowl. There's a light on the inside of the stand mixer bowl.
