TP-Link Deco X20 2-pack

It is difficult to find good WiFi in a modern house for a long time. We have fiber optic, but the range and speed was to cry with 2 different routers.

Then someone recommended mesh and that really works, full range everywhere in the house and with the cheapest subscription I get 500mb / sec. And just walking to the attic all the time good signal.

Other brands have more options, TP-link is just nice and simple, plug and play.

Have no shares in this, am seriously very satisfied.

For years we have struggled with a dilapidated WiFi connection. After a long search and working with half-hearted solutions, I decided to go for this meshing system. The connection is made with a Telenet modem + router, of which the standard WiFi signal is disabled. In time we will switch to a modem-only version, which you can exchange for free. Indoors, we achieve speeds of 190 Mbps (which is close to the theoretical 200 Mbps maximum provided by Telenet). Via the hub in the garden we achieve between 120 and 140 Mbps. The hub in the garden is only connected wirelessly and is located at a distance of 17 to 19 meters from the hubs inside. This is therefore more than sufficient for 4K streaming in the hammock.

Not a top design, but you can easily put those things away somewhere. The only real reservation we have at the moment is that the X60 is probably still a bit overkill today. Both the support of Wifi 6, which is still supported by almost nothing today and you therefore have no direct benefit from it. And the internet speeds that the router can theoretically achieve are completely irrelevant today because the providers do not offer them. Not based on tests, but you will probably get an equally good result with the Deco M9 in the next 5 years.

Easy to install, the app guides you through the installation process. Also works well with for home garden and kitchen use sufficient options to gain insight into the consumption of individual persons (devices can be linked to profiles) and to set time slots or screen time. However, the x20 units are quite large and wall brackets (which take up even more space) can only be ordered in China.
