WMF Profi Plus Plus Citrus Press

The title says it all. This juicer is an asset to our kitchen. It takes some getting used to. We were previously in possession of such an ugly snow-white hand press that was a pain to clean and also made so much noise that it was better to put in earplugs during use. The WMF citrus press is of a completely different caliber. First of all, it is a beautiful device to look at due to its stainless steel finish. In addition, the motor is very powerful and the pressing feels very solid. Despite this power, it is fairly quiet, allowing you to have a conversation while squeezing oranges. Where we previously had to turn the orange around the rotating press by hand, this is now possible by means of a solid lever. All parts are of high quality and the cord can be rolled up under the device after use. The juice comes out of the device through the nozzle and the pulp is neatly collected. After use, you can put all individual parts in the dishwasher or easily wash them by hand. It looks beautiful, is very easy to use, and easy to clean. We are fans!

Through the insiders I was able to try the WMF Profi Pllus Citrus Press. After I received the press, I had to wait a little longer until the weekend, when I have the time to squeeze a nice fresh orange juice at my leisure in the morning. I have now used the press for several weekends and I am positive about the press. The device is quite large, it looks like it was made for a good amount of juice. So for professional use. Each time I have used 2 kg of oranges to squeeze. 2 kg of oranges equals 1 liter of juice. The use is very positive. Wonderfully quiet device. No matter how much pressure you apply, it stays very quiet. If you want to surprise the household with fresh orange juice, it will not wake them up immediately. That's so nice. The press mold has two 'legs' with which the coarse pulp is also ground through the sieve. However, in practice this does not work completely flawlessly. This slowly fills the sieve and blocks the flow of the juice. So you have to push the coarse pulp through the sieve with your finger and remove it afterwards. That's a shame, but the only downside I've been able to find so far. Pressing does not require much pressure. In fact, if you put too much pressure you will crush the orange. It has an automatic stop when there is too much pressure, but it hasn't had to do its job yet. Cleaning is also not much. You can remove and clean all parts or choose to put them in the dishwasher. So ideal. All in all, a very nice device.

The citrus press is delivered well packed and immediately looks solid after unpacking. In particular, the insert that actually takes care of the pressing is heavy duty. All parts are easy to assemble, a child can do the laundry. The handle on top feels less firm because there is some lateral play in combination with the chosen material. There is a small push button on the back with which you turn the device on or off. Handy that the plug can simply remain in the socket and the device can be switched off. The pressing really goes like a charm . What is striking here is that the citrus press is whisper quiet compared to our old citrus press. Of course not the most important thing with a citrus press, but in practice this is nice. The lever on top makes pressing very easy, without requiring much force. The powerful motor makes squeezing the oranges a breeze. After pressing, you can also clearly see that the whole, or actually half, oranges are squeezed well so that all the juice is used. The drip stop ensures that there is no mess on the counter. A simple but effective function as far as I'm concerned. I was more concerned about cleaning. However, this turns out to be very easy to do in practice. Because all parts can be easily taken apart, this requires virtually no work after rinsing. All parts are easy to clean and the machine itself is easy to wipe with a damp cloth. So far a very nice device!
