The ultimate TV with intense colors and black full of detail

Before I bought this TV, I had already read a lot of positive news about the quantum dot OLED technology in this Sony A95K. And that wasn't a lie at all. During the setup you will already notice how good this screen is. The black levels are nice and deep and full of detail, as you would expect from an OLED screen, but what really stood out was the intensity of the colors. The colors are really phenomenal. One word: wow! Other televisions suddenly look very dull and 'flat'. So if there is one reason why you should buy this TV, it is this QD OLED screen.

At first I was a bit afraid of OLED, because our living room is quite light. We have a large window directly in front of the television and one next to it. But that turned out to be no problem. I don't suffer from disturbing reflections and the screen is bright enough to watch TV pleasantly even during the day.

The setup went very smoothly thanks to the Google Home app. Logging in to Netlix and Disney+ was done in no time.

The television comes with a flat base on which you could mount the screen in two directions. I'm personally not a fan of that. A wall mount looks much cleaner.

Another thing that stood out was the sound. Compared to my previous television, the sound is much better. Deeper tones also come into their own better. Unless you really want the ultimate cinema experience, a soundbar is not necessary at all.

The remote is also an improvement over previous Sony televisions. You still get a full remote with number keys, but now there is also a smaller, premium remote. It has direct buttons to Netflix and Prime Video. There is also a voice search button. The metal from which this remote control is made feels of high quality, while the illuminated keys (which turn on when you pick up the remote) are also handy.

The plug and play camera is also very nice, although I haven't been able to test it yet, that will come. Pairing with the bravia is super easy and almost automatic. I linked my phone and google account in no time. The Dolby surround headset that I bought especially for the TV also paired immediately. The TV responds really fast to the remote controls, although I don't understand why they provided the TV with 2 remote controls instead of an all-in-1. One is really for the entertainment / streaming sites I think but even then it is not useful. The entertainment remote control is very nice and seems super sturdy. Furthermore, the ease of use is really great. There is not a lot of 4K footage available yet, but with the TV I got a bravia core account with which I can watch 10 movies for free and the movie library of Core consists almost exclusively of 4K movies so that is a very nice extra. What I personally think is a great option and haven't seen it on TV so far is that in the menu I just get to see a large amount of movies and can also select to watch from a lot of popular streaming services. Where you normally first have to start the streaming service and then only be able to choose a movie from that service, you can now simply choose from all possible movies from these streaming services.
