Good amplifier with many connection options and very good and pure sound. (together with my B&W speakers)

My Technics receiver that I bought 25 years ago had broken down. Moreover, it had no HDMI connections. That necessitated the purchase of this top receiver from Denon as a replacement and it immediately catapults you into modern times. Watching television and DVD and via the media box or listening to internet radio or listening to Spotify suddenly gives a whole new experience in terms of ease of use, sound and versatility. The next step is to purchase additional speakers for all available surround sound options. It was still exciting whether the sound of our 15-year-old TV with an unknown HDMI specification could be heard on it, but everything turned out to work better than expected and better than ever.

This amplifier replaces a 10 year old receiver. Purchased for support of newer audio formats and 4k resolution. Installation was easy as the cables could be labeled on the old amplifier with the supplied stickers. Installation wizard of the Denon was easy to go through. However, if you want more control over the settings, it is quite a search in the various menus. Excellent audio and video quality.
