Exactly what I want, and more. Unfortunately no manual focus. However, with "One Shot Focus" you can press the button halfway to calibrate the focus in advance. Handy if you are trying to photograph a thin subject, and the camera auto focus does not recognize the subject.

If there is fog, and the subject is in the distance, then the auto focus does not recognize the subject, and it cannot be focused manually. Unless you use the one shot focus on another distant subject that can be recognized, and then aim at your desired subject and then press it fully for a photo. One shot focus halfway press ensures that the camera focuses once and then stays on that focus, as long as you keep the photo button halfway pressed.
