    Description

    With the NETGEAR GS728TPPv3 managed switch, you can distribute your business network across 28 Ethernet ports. You can do this via 24 Gigabit connectors and 4 extra fast SFP ports that support fiber optics. Thanks to PoE+, you can provide 24 devices with power and internet at the same time via the Ethernet cable. This means you can use fewer cables. You can set up the switch to your liking via the app. For example, you can set up QoS, which allows you to give priority to certain devices. That way, you can be sure your important video call doesn't lag. Thanks to the built-in fans, the switch keeps performing well even with a lot of network traffic.

    I have a smart home so I need a lot of lan ports; the four that are on my router are not enough and also have no POE, which this switch does. So yes, a switch is a solution. I chose the POE variant because of the expansions of my smarthome, where POE is desired. The device is heavy, all-metal case, which protects the intestines well. The power supply is also heavy and bulky, something to consider if you want to install this unit in a confined space. The product is provided with mounting material; very handy. €129,= it is a lot of money but then you also have something. Installing is very easy. It is a manageable switch so the settings of the switch can be adjusted at a decent level; it is not "fully manageable" but for my home garden and kitchen network it is not necessary either.
