The binoculars aren't gas filled, so the lenses can fog up because of the rain or temperature differences.
They don't have a rubber grip, so they fall out of your hands more easily when it rains, for example.

Description

The Kodak BCS800 10x42 is a versatile pair of binoculars. The lenses have a large 42mm diameter. This allows you to see sharp images even at little light. That's useful in the dusk or dawn or on a cloudy day. The binoculars have a magnification of 10 times, so you can easily magnify subjects that are far away. You can watch a bird's nest in a high tree that way, for example. You can follow a moving subject without problems thanks to the wide 94m field of view, for example a bird that flies away. The lenses have rubber eye cups, so you can use the binoculars comfortably.
