We tried an Epson short-throw projector before, but it was quite disappointing: the design was not a pretty sight and it made a lot of noise. This Samsung The Premiere LPU7D, on the other hand, is a world of difference. The size is compact, the look is sleek and modern, and above all: it is surprisingly quiet. As soon as you turn on a film or series, you no longer hear the projector. Only when it is completely silent, you hear a soft humming of the fan, but that is not disturbing.

During the day, the image is still visible, even with a lot of daylight on the wall, although it becomes a bit duller. In the evening, it really comes into its own - a wonderfully large image that provides a real cinema experience. The installation was also super simple and logical. In our case, it is about 8 cm from the wall. The sharpness is still good then, although the upper corners become a bit sharper if you place it a bit further away.

A small downside: after a few days you will see some dust on the projector, so regular dusting is recommended. But otherwise this is the perfect solution for us. We don't watch TV very often and didn't want a large black surface on the wall. We were still hesitating between a Samsung Frame and this projector, but in retrospect we know for sure that we made the right choice.
